| A Note from Dr. Jack Hyles
JoJo Moffitt and her husband, Dr. Roy Moffitt, have been my close friends and fellow workers for over a third of a century. I know them well; perhaps as well as few people. We have won together, and we have lost together. We have laughed together, and we have wept together. We have shared clouds together, and we have shared sunshine together. We have shared noon times together, and we have shared midnights together. We have shared victories together, and we have shared defeats together. I have seen them beside the casket, in the hospital room, and in the darkest shadows of life. They have never wavered.
The reader will experience the joys of laughter over and over again while reading so many humorous experiences that God has placed in the pathway of JoJo Moffitt. These stories are true. JoJo Moffitt must be one of God's pets. He seems to allow more humorouse events to cross her pathway than most anyone I know. These humorous experiences will enable the reader so share with Mrs. Moffitt some happy times and unrestrained laughter.
And why would JoJo Moffitt be one of God's pets? Perhaps it is because she is one of the finest lady soul winners I have ever met. Perhaps it is because she has been so faithful and loyal for so many years in spite of painful and serious illnesses. Perhaps it is because when JoJo Moffitt is up, she is up; and when she is down, she is also up. In Psalm 126:1 and 2, the psalmist tells us that when the Jews were released from bondage and returned to their own land, their mouths were filled with laughter. This is biographical when it comes to JoJo Moffitt. Her life is filled with laughter. Sometimes laughter in the valley, sometimes laughter during heartache and heartbreak, but like the Jews of old, she has been freed from bondage; she is God's child, and she always finds a way to laugh regardless of the circumstances.
I have known her as her employer, as her pastor, as her friend, and, in many ways, she seems to me like an adopted daughter. Through this book, you will know JoJo Moffitt, and you will be glad that you met her.
